Adding Articles and Menu Links in a Hurry

The usual process for adding content to the Joomla system is 1) Add article, 2) Add menu link to article.  This isn't that hard, until you have to add about 30 - 40 articles all at once, in which case this procedure becomes a 60 - 80 step process.  There IS an easier way...

Enter MassContent for Joomla

Masscontent is an awesome component.  Download it here.  It lets you add many many articles all from a single page, as well as adding them all to a menu at the same time.  You still have to do some organizational work on the menu after adding all the content, but this is a much easier proposition.

How-To Steps

Step 1: Download, install component.  Masscontent Download Link.  How to Install a Component Instructions (if you don't already know)

Step 2: Find the link to Masscontent.  It is under Components > Masscontent.   Right off the bat, it only has room for 10 articles, but you can add more very easily, just hit the Parameters button on the top right of the page.  When you change the parameters, then refresh the page or click the Components > Masscontent link again.

Step 3: Add your content, making sure to check the box 'Link to Menu' and select your Mainmenu.  Like mentioned previously, it will throw all the articles into the menu without any hierarchy, but that is much easier to adjust after the fact in the menu manager.
